Over twenty people, including graphic and interior designers, visual and performing artists, writers, film producers and arts consultants and managers, turned up on 21 May to the workshop on Self-employment in the Arts and Creative sector to discuss ways of developing their creative practices.

Led by Armando Pardo, Director of ACBBA, the session drew from participants' own experiences in an attempt to discuss issues in a manner relevant to people working in such as wide range of disciplines. Feedback has been extremely positive, which suggests the session did manage to provide something for all.

"Thanks again for a fantastic workshop yesterday. There have been lots of messages flying around in twitter saying thanks for such an interesting, informative and relevant session", Rachel Toogood, Creative Islington

All attendees received factsheets on taxation, legal structures and pricing your art, together with several planning tools distributed in electronic format.
