A group of new entrepreneurs who participated in a business course ran by ACBBA and supported by Trust for London met in Kings Cross on 12 October to receive their certificates – a Level 2 qualification in Preparing to Run your own Business, accredited by the leading awarding body for Enterprise (SFEDI).  The cold Friday morning was the perfect excuse to go to a nearby café to enjoy breakfast and get up to speed with everybody’s progress.

Starting on 26 June and free to people on low income, the course consisted of a programme of four workshops covering Starting Up, Marketing, Finance and Business Planning, complemented with mentoring support.

Participants also received a range of learning materials and planning tools. Eight of the twelve participants completed a business plan and attended a meeting with a panel of assessors, who were impressed by the quality of the work submitted and the enthusiasm of trainees. Assessors were also impressed by the quality of the training and support provided by ACBBA.

ACBBA is currently delivering a new programme of business workshops in collaboration with the St Luke’s Parochial Trust. For more information on business workshops or mentoring support contact Armando:
