The international conference on the role of community based business advisers on the 13th September was a great success, attended by over 80 delegates.

Organised jointly by SFEDI and ACBBA and held in the beautiful surroundings of St Martin’s-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, the conference also reflected on the education of business advisers, the different approaches to enterprise support in Europe and the value of enterprise as an instrument for alleviating poverty.  A couple of small businesses gave an account of community based business support from the client perspective.

The conference also marked the culmination of a partnership European project designed to develop learning materials for business advisers based on the ACBBA-SFEDI manual How to Be a Brilliant Community Based Business Adviser.
