posted 5 Sep 2012, 02:26 by pardoarmando@aol.com
13 September 2012 – 9am to 5.30pm

Universidade Portucalense Infante D. Henrique
Rua Dr. António Bernardino de Almeida
nº 541 – Porto, Portugal

This European gathering will take place in Porto on 13th September and will provide a platform to discuss issues around immigrant entrepreneurship with reference to the work of the Best Form project, a collaborative effort involving seven European countries and inspired in the community based business support model developed by ACBBA in the UK. The work carried out under Best Form included adapting the ACBBA model to the realities of the countries involved in the partnership, expanding existing learning materials with local case studies and references and delivering pilot training programmes on enterprise support for community oriented advisers based in Italy and Portugal.

Project partners will discuss the outcomes of these activities. Presentations from guest speakers from other development agencies, NGOs and government bodies dealing with business support and immigration issues will stimulate a broader discussion of immigrant entrepreneurship.

If you are unable to attend the conference but would like to receive information about the proceedings at the conference, please drop me a line at armandopardo@communitybasedbusiness.co.uk
