Business course at St Luke's new Business Centre

The first business course at the recently launched business centre at St Luke’s Parochial Trust concluded on 1st November with a workshop on Finance. Delivered by ACBBA, the course is part of a collaborative effort between ACBBA, St Luke’s and other local partners to support unemployed Islington residents seeking to start up in business. The last workshop in the programme took place on 1st November and the picture shows some of the trainees as well as Scott James and Peter Dench from NatWest and Armando Pardo from ACBBA, who discussed money matters on that day.

Feedback from all quarters has been tremendously positive, as can be seen by the comments from Shanice Lindsay, from St Luke’s “The Business Enterprise Club participants were asked to rate the course on a sliding scale from 1 to 10 with one being low and 10 being high.  Almost all the scores were between 9 and 10.  Individuals found the course to very useful, relevant and interactive.  The presentation style of the trainers were also scored very highly and said to be well suited to the participants learning styles. We would be very interested in looking into running future training courses again with Armando, here at the St Luke’s Business Enterprise Club.  This time we would like to open up the course to unemployed local people who may be thinking of starting up in business. We really appreciate and welcome the partnership with ACBBA in helping to make this a successful initiative (Shanice Lindsay, Director of Community Engagement, St Luke’s Parochial Trust)”
